Description

500ml bottles: This smooth, honey-coloured ale celebrates the audacity of Tewdric (also known as Tewdrig), a onetime King of Gwent and self-imposed hermit. In the seventh century A.D. he abandoned his life of solitude in the Tintern hills to lead and inspire the Welsh to victory over the Anglo-Saxons at the battle of Pont y Saeson. He received mortal injuries and is believed to have died at the spring now known as St Tewdrig’s Well in Mathern. His passing is commemorated on January 3rd.

The combination of Fuggles and Northern Brewer Hops with blended pale and crystal malted barley produces an ale with a dry bitter character and tangy core. A firm kegged favourite in our local hostelries.
